Donald Lee "Pappy" "Soda Pop" Sinclair, 79, of Nutter Fort passed away on Monday, August 9, 2021 at United Hospital Center after an eleven-year battle with cancer. He was born in West Milford on September 24, 1941 the son of the late Walter and Freda Greynolds Sinclair. Donald is survived by his wife of fifty-nine years, Karen Watson Sinclair; One son Donald Sinclair, II and Debra, Blacksburg, VA; one daughter, Kimberly Sinclair and husband Craig Collins, Virginia Beach; two grandchildren, Morgan Wall and Zack, Christiansburg, VA and Cole Sinclair and fianc? Rachel, Virginia Beach; one brother, Walt Sinclair; three sisters, Phyllis, Lynn and Gladys; two sisters-in-law, Nancy and Debbie; as well as two brothers-in-law, Bob and Vic. In addition to his parents, Donald was preceded in death by one brother, Kenneth Sinclair. Donald was a 1960 graduate from Unidis High School in West Milford. He would later retire from Union Carbide after thirty-years in the shipping department. Although he was involved in many clubs and activities, he truly loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed to hunt and fish at his farm in Buckhannon with his late "sidekick", Bandit. He only hunted with a black powder muzzleloader. Donald was a member of the WV State Muzzleloaders Association, as well as the Appalachian Rangers Muzzle Loader Club since the 1970's where he had served the organization as President. He was a member of the Birch Mountain Club and served as President also. Donald participated in many Muzzleloader and Tomahawk competitions and won numerous trophies. He was the 1991 WV State Muzzleloader Champion. He was an instructor of gun safety. Donald was a forty-six-year member of the Hermon Masonic Lodge #6, where he was past Worshipful Master, in addition to the Scottish Rite Bodies of Wheeling and Clarksburg. He was a member of the WV Shriner's Clown Unit and entertained and participated in many events and parades around the state. Throughout his life Donald would also coach minor league baseball and serve as an umpire for softball league. As per his wishes, Donald's body was donated to the WVU Human Gift Registry. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Davis Funeral Home and Onsite Crematory assisted the Sinclair family and the WVU Human Gift Registry.
