Donald McArthur Richard, 80, of Creedmoor, NC died Friday, September 30, 2022 at his home.
Born in Granville County, he was the son of the late Arch Richard and Clellie Keith Richard.
Donald retired from John Umstead Hospital with twenty-five years of service as a carpenter. He enjoyed farming and hunting with his grandson, Justin.
A graveside service will be held Wednesday, October 5, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Carolina Memorial Gardens officiated by Pastor Harry Brown and Pastor Alvin Thomas.
He is survived by his wife, Hope Richard; one daughter, Angela Boss (Randy); one son, Gene Richard (Paul Debski); two grandsons, Justin Aaron (Hillary) and Cameron Boss; one great-grandson and the Joy of his life, Blake Aaron; two sisters, Betty Lou Ellington and Christine Ross; two brothers, Otis Richard and Harold Richard (Renee); his much loved brother and sister-in-law, Henry and Julia Rigsbee; a special caregiver during his illness, his brother-in-law, Frank Faulkner and many nieces, nephews and extended family. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Lester, Bobby, Charlie, and Ray Richard.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the food ministry at Creedmoor First Baptist Church in Creedmoor, P.O. Box 38, Creedmoor, NC 27522.
Arrangements are by Eakes Funeral Home in Creedmoor.
