Donald P. O'Connor, 86, loving husband of Lauria O'Connor, died on Wednesday, July 28, 2021, in Masonicare.
Born in Lowell, Massachusetts on March 26, 1935, he was the son of the late Ovila and Albertine (Poirier) O'Connor. He was a longtime resident of Waterbury before moving to Cheshire in 1980 for 27 years.
Mr. O'Connor was a teamster member for 27 years, driving for Linden Motor Freight, he also worked for public works in the town of Cheshire until his retirement in 1996. He was a veteran of the Korean War, having served with the U.S. Army. His world was his wife and his family and his love of aviation. He loved to rebuild pianos.
Besides his wife Lauria of 63 years, he is survived by his daughter, Michele L. O'Connor, a son, Bruce A. O'Conor, a grandson, Matthew O'Connor and his wife Scarlett, a great-granddaughter Ellie and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son Donald P. O'Connor, Jr., a grandson Ryan O'Connor, three sisters, Lilliam Desrosiers, Cecile Dery, and Theresa Moles and eight brothers: Raymond, Maurice, Albert, Walter, Robert, Richard, Andre and Ralph O'Connor.
