Goshen - Donald D. Nofziger, 84, died peacefully Saturday, June 25, 2022, at his home.
He was born November 28, 1937, in Archbold, Ohio, to Dennis and Ella (King) Nofziger.
On July 16, 1960, he married Vietta K. Cender in Fisher, Illinois.
She survives along with four children, Kathy (Michael) Nofziger Yeakey of Goshen, Sylvia (Bill) McBride of Milford, Donna Risser of Goshen and Bruce (Patty) Nofziger of Goshen; 11 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two sisters, Nola (Melvin) Harnish, Waynesboro, Pennsylvania, and Marlene (Edward) Baer, Archbold, Ohio, and three brothers, Peter (Shirley) Nofziger, Archbold, Ohio, Milton (Donna) Nofziger, Bryan, Ohio, and Edward (Carol) Nofziger, Archbold, Ohio.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Louise Zimmerly and Mary Lou Hershberger, and son-in-law, Troy Risser.
Mr. Nofziger was a Mennonite Pastor for nearly 30 years in Pennsylvania, Ohio and Kansas, then a truck driver for another 10 years traveling across the Eastern half of the US. He was a member of the American Association of Marriage and Family Counselors.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and from 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, July 5, 2022, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home.
A memorial service will take place Saturday, July 16, at 10:30 a.m. at Eighth Street Mennonite Church. Julia Gingrich will officiate.
Memorial gifts may be directed to Anabaptist Mennonite Biblical Seminary.
