Funeral services for longtime resident of Willis, Texas, Donald Houston Morrow were held on Monday, March 11, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. in The Chapel at Conroe Funeral Directors. The Rev. Ray Hyden will officiated. Interment followed in County Line cemetery. The Visitation was held one hour prior to the service beginning at 10:00 a.m. in The Chapel.
Donald was born on May 22, 1939 in Meadow, Texas to Orval Houston Morrow and Ruby Lee (Meil) Morrow. He passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 6, 2024 in Houston, Texas at the age of 84. Growing up in the rural panhandle, Don spent many hours working on the family farm with his parents and four siblings where he learned valuable work experience. When his own children got older, the family moved South landing in Houston and Montgomery County. Later in life, he settled in Willis close to family. Don worked for Brown and Root as an Equipment Operator and Supervisor and retired after many years of service. He had an exceptional work ethic and was a reliable master of his trade. His witty and sharp humor was always there and kept you wondering. Our father, brother, grandfather and friend will be dearly missed. Don was preceded in death by his parents, Orval Houston Morrow and Ruby Lee (Meil) Morrow and his wives, Billie A. Scott and Anita Morrow.
He is survived by his loving family: Son, Ricky Don Morrow and wife, Elaine; Daughter, Kimberly Gail Morrow Davis; and Son, David Houston Morrow; Sister, Peggy Fisher and husband, Bill; Brother, Jerry Morrow; Sister, Mary Drake and husband, Bob; and Brother, Floyd Morrow; Grandchildren, Sumer Gampher and husband, Eddie, Nicole Kiper and husband, Ray, Justin Davis, Kyle Davis and wife, Savannah, Tyler Morrow and wife, Alex and David Houston Morrow, II; Great grandchildren, Daeden, Kale, Sawyer, Leslie, Bexley, Kameron, Konner, Brinden, Aspen, Ava, Oliver, Braxton and Josee; numerous other dear relatives and friends also survive.
Pallbearers included David H. Morrow, Ricky D. Morrow, Eddie Gampher, Tyler Morrow, David H. Morrow, II and Daeden Gampher.
The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to Heart-to-Heart Hospice for their care and kindness during this difficult time.
