Donald "Don" Jay Hayn, 94 of Argos, Indiana passed away on October 13, 2022 at 11:45 p.m. at Miller's Merry Manor, Culver, Indiana where he had been in declining health for the past couple of months. On October 12, 1928 in rural Marshall County, Indiana Donald was born to Jacob D. Hayn and Mabel M. (Rumsey) Hayn. Don had lived Marshall County all his life.
On June 14, 1947 in Teegarden, Indiana he married the love of his life Mary Etta (Adams) Hayn and together they shared 69 years until Mary's passing on August 12, 2016.
Don was a Farmer and had worked at Ball Band in Mishawaka, Indiana for nearly 20 years.
He was a member of the Plymouth Wesleyan Church, Plymouth, Indiana; past member of the Plymouth Moose Family Center #741, Plymouth, Indiana. Don was a graduate of Tyner High School with the class of 1946.
Don is survived by his daughters - Delores Reed and husband Doug of Greentown, Indiana; and Joan Buchanan, Loveland, Colorado
Sons - Merl Hayn and wife Susan of Argos, Indiana; and Loren Hayn and wife Martha of Argos, Indiana
9 Grandchildren and 12 Great Grandchildren
Sister - Mildred Krause of Largos, Florida
He is preceded in death by his Parents, Wife, Great Grandchild-Hayden Campbell, Brother-Paul Hayn, and Sisters-Helen O'Hara, Mary Rutherford, and Ruth Newberg
Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday October 18, 2022 from 4 p.m. - 8 p.m. at Earl-Grossman Funeral Home, 208 N. Michigan St., Argos, Indiana.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday October 19, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at the Plymouth Wesleyan Church, 11203 S. Michigan Rd., Plymouth, Indiana with Rev. Ollie Dongell and Rev. Ed Friberg officiating. Burial will follow at the Maple Grove Cemetery, Argos, Indiana.
Arrangements have been entrusted with the Earl-Grossman Funeral Home, Argos, Indiana
