Erlewein Mortuary
Donald W. Hash, age 85, of New Palestine, Indiana, passed away Tuesday, December 3, 2024. He was born in Greene County, Indiana on August 26, 1939 to Marshall W. and Blanche L. (Bough) Hash. He graduated from Solsberry High School in Solsberry, Indiana in 1957. He proudly served in the Army Reserves for several years. He married Glenda Barnes.
He worked for Western Electric Company, Inc. in Indianapolis, Indiana for approximately thirty-one years until his retirement. Donald also spent fourteen years as the caretaker of the New Palestine Cemetery. In his free time, he enjoyed watching I.U. basketball and the Indianapolis Colts. Nothing made him happier than being than being outside in the sun, while mowing the grass. But most of all he loved spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife, Glenda Barnes Hash; daughters, Donita (Gary) Jones, Beth (Greg) Fullerton, and Carol (Brian) Osborn; grandchildren, Gary, Sarah, Miranda, Joshua, Erin, and Eric; and great-granddaughter, Gracie with another great grandchild on the way. He was preceded in death by his parents, Marshall W. and Blanche L. Hash.
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 9, 2024, from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory, 1484 W. US Hwy. 40, Greenfield, IN 46140. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 10, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at the mortuary with viewing one hour prior to the service. Pastor Roger Kinion will be officiating. Burial will follow at New Palestine Cemetery in New Palestine, Indiana.
