Donald "Mac" Fuschino, 93, of Hooversville, died peacefully on March 12, 2020 at his home. Born July 12, 1926 in Hooversville, son of Domenico and Mary (Fusina) Fuschino. Preceded in death by his parents; brother Joseph; and sisters, Carol Taylor, Phyllis Skobel, and Virginia Stevenson. Survived by his beloved wife, the former Lillian Nagy; children, Michael (Ping), Phoenix, AZ, Stephen (Bonnie), Pottstown; Kathy Carnahan (Sean), Jennerstown; special nephew, Bill Nagy; ex daughter-in-law Diane Denowh; grandchildren: Anthony, Randy, Desiree, Kristin, Sarah and Nicolas; and great grandchildren: Ian, Theo, and Emma. He is also survived by brother John Fuschino (Barb), Windber; sisters: Marie Bloom, Hooversville, Virginia Hull, Summerhill, Teresa Petronick, Hooversville, Erma Mayak, Stoystown, and Gloria Fuschino, Central City; and numerous nieces and nephews. He served in the Army in World War II and spent time in Japan. He worked for various Coal companies as a pinner for over 30years and retired in 1982. He was a loving husband and father. Known in the community as a hard worker, he often painted or did odd jobs for family and neighbors in his hometown. He served a term as president of the Hooversville Fire Department. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, an avid sports fan, enjoyed playing cards, working in the garden, and spending time with his family. Burial will be private, and at the convenience of the family. A memorial service will be held later in the summer. Arrangements entrusted to Deaner Funeral Home, Hooversville.
