Donald "Don" Clay McKay Jr.

Willis: Donald "Don" Clay Mckay Jr., 62, passed away Saturday, July 31, 2021 at his daughters home in Ardmore.

A celebration of life will be held from 2:00-4:00 PM, Sunday, August 15, 2021, at David McKay's residence, 778 State Highway 17, Rush Springs. Cremation and all arrangements have been entrusted to Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral and Cremation Services in Marlow.

Don was born Saturday, December 27, 1958 in Duncan, to Donald and Marilyn (Reeves) Mckay. He had lived in Rush Springs prior to Willis, Tx, which is where he called home for the last 34 years. Don married Shawn Hoos on November 9, 1987, in Wichita Falls, TX. He enjoyed anything to do with motorcycles and was a member of the Rough Riders Riding Club. Don also enjoyed taking care of his plants, traveling, and eating his Rocky Road ice cream. Most of all, he loved his family and enjoyed any time he got to spend with them.

Survivors include, father, Donald McKay Sr. of Rush Springs, daughter, Meagan Poteet and husband Travis of Ardmore, 2 grandchildren, Carson Poteet, Camryn Poteet, 5 brothers, Steve McKay and wife Lanetta of Rush Springs, David McKay of RushSprings, Phillip McKay of Oviedo, Fl, Patrick McKay Mellisa of Moore, and Paul McKay and wife Holley of Rush Springs, sister, Melanie Chamberlain and husband Chuck, former spouse and best friend, Shawn Green of Conroe, TX, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Don was preceded in death by his mother.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to Cross Timbers Hospice in Ardmore in Don's name. They provided excellent care to Don in his final days.
