Don Smith, Jr., age 70 of Breckenridge, passed away Monday, October 24, 2022. No services have been planned at this time. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Morehart Mortuary.
Don Henry Smith, Jr. was born September 26, 1952 in Fort Wayne, Indiana to parents Don Henry Smith, Sr. and Betty Young Smith. Soon after high school, Don enlisted in the United States Navy and served in Vietnam. He attended college after his honorable discharge. Don worked as an electrician for many years until his retirement. On October 14, 2006, Don married Frances Jean Fairless in Breckenridge. He served as the Stephens County Veterans Service Officer for several years until 2022. He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Betty Smith; one sister, Cheryl Perona; and one grandson, Justin.
Mr. Smith is survived by his wife, Frances Smith of Breckenridge; his children, Brian Smith, Chad Smith, Lisa McCulloch, Freddie Jenkins, Chasity Jenkins, Juanita Garcia; three sisters, Cathy Clendenen, Debbie Deitschel, Christina Federspiel; eighteen grandchildren; seven great grandchildren and two more on the way.
