Don F. Larsen was born on January 16, 1931, in Springview, Nebraska to Louis Larsen, Jr. and Bonnie F. (Carr) Bellin, and passed away on May 12, 2022, in Seward, Nebraska at the age of 91 years, 3 months and 26 days.
Don grew up and attended school in Springview, Nebraska, and graduated from Keya Paha County High School with the Class of 1948. He enlisted in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, and following basic training at Ft. Lee, VA, was stationed in Alaska. When he returned from the war, he enrolled at Chadron State College and graduated from there in 1957 with a B.S. degree in Education. Don met his future wife, Lenore Roseberry at Chadron State and they left shortly after graduation for teaching positions in California. The couple was united in marriage in 1957, in Los Angeles, California. The couple taught at many schools in California, Nevada, and Wyoming, and later settled in Lusk, where Don taught at Lusk Elementary and Middle School until his retirement. In addition to his career as a teacher, he also coached various sports for many years. In his free time, Don enjoyed playing cards, sports, and reading.
Don is preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 54 years, Lenore Larsen; brother, Kenneth Larsen, and infant brother, Gerald Larsen.
Survivors cherishing his memory include numerous nieces and nephews.
In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no services. Mr. Larsen also asks that in lieu of memorials, you spend the money on your families.
