Dolores A. (Buzzeo) Romano, 93, of Manchester, passed away peacefully on November 16, 2021 with her loving husband of 70 years, James, by her side.
She was born in Stamford, CT on August 29, 1928, the daughter of Raymond and Raffaella (Terrenzio) Buzzeo. She is predeceased by two brothers, Harold Buzzeo and Raymond Buzzeo, and a sister Gloria Gerstner.
In addition to her husband, James, family members include four daughters, Susan Newton and her husband Charlie of Manchester, Cindy Benson and her late husband Gavin of Londonderry, Nancy Fothergill and her husband Jimmy of Londonderry, and Jamie Romano and her spouse Delia of Manchester; five grandchildren, Amy and her husband Shawn, Jessalyn, Rachel, Chaz and his wife Sawyer, Julia, and one great granddaughter, Charley Grace, as well as many loving nieces and nephews.
She also enjoyed the company of Connor, Sean, and Jason; significant others of Rachel, Jessalyn and Julia.
Dolores dedicated her life to raising her daughters and providing a loving home where all who entered felt welcome and at home. She also opened her heart and home to four foster babies while raising four daughters of her own. She was a great listener and always gave good advice.
She enjoyed spending time with family, especially holidays and family summer vacations "at the lake". She loved cooking for her family, sharing recipes, gardening, the beach and traveling with her husband. She also loved dogs, especially her grand-dogs.
We will all miss her silly sense of humor and strong willed personality. She was an inspiration to us all. She is lovingly remembered as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend who will be greatly missed.
