Dolores Lorraine Rickerds, age 90 of Pleasant Valley, MD, died Thursday, May 9, 2024 at Sterling Care, Boonsboro, MD.
She was preceded in death by her best friend and husband of 50 years Roy "Bubby" Rickerds in 2005.
Born March 23, 1934 in Yarrowsburg, MD, she was the daughter of the late Merle G. Deener and Ottolie V. Deener.
She worked at Brunswick Sewing Company, Camp Manidokan and was a day-care provider and homemaker.
She was a member of the Brownsville Church of the Brethren, Pleasant Valley Senior Citizens and Pleasant Valley Ruritan Club.
She was loved and respected member of the community, a devoted wife, mother, granny and friend. We will always keep her in our hearts and thoughts until we meet again in heaven.
Dolores is survived by her son, Roy M. Rickerds, II and wife Ann of Knoxville, MD, daughter Dawn Conner of Hagerstown, MD, step daughter Sherry Purkey and husband Lonnie of Frederick, MD, three grandchildren Jarrett Rickerds, Katie Rickerds and her boyfriend Jordy Mills, Roxi Conner-Plummer and husband Weston Plummer of Hagerstown, MD, and a brother Robert Deener.
She was preceded in death by her brothers Ronald, Franklin, Eugene and Kenneth, and sisters Geraldine and Juanita, and son-in-law Denny Conner.

Family will receive friends at the Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home 1331 Eastern Blvd. North, Hagerstown, MD on Wednesday, May 15, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and one half hour prior to the service at the church.
Services will be held on the Thursday, May 16, 2024 at 2:00 PM from the Brownsville Church of the Brethren 1911 Rohrersville Road, Knoxville, MD with Pastor Calvin Park officiating.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Brownsville Church of the Brethren 1911 Rohrersville Road, Knoxville, MD 21758.
