Dolores, June 1944 - January 2023, Meriden resident, who was commonly known as "Di", was a stay-at-home mom who took great pride and enjoyment in raising her three boys. When she returned to the workforce she worked at Meriden Wallingford Hospital, Hartford Health Care, and for Dr. Lendino's office. She was an avid gardener and could bring life back into the most delicate of plants. Di loved reading, nature, and going dancing. She was hardly five feet tall, but when she moved, the room took notice. Those who knew her knew she loved her mother Ida more than anyone in the world. She was a wonderful daughter taking care of her mother's every need up until Ida's 99th year. She loved her grandchildren to no end, supporting all their hobbies and after-school activities. She was their biggest cheerleader. In fact, Di was a cheerleader for her high school. She grew up in Portland, Connecticut where she shared funny memories with both of her brothers, Bobby and Georgie. Over the years, she lived with her son Ryan she often called Ripper, her daughter-in-law, Melanie, and her grandchildren Matthew, Brielle, and Nikolas making beautiful memories, sharing meals, and laughing at old times. A true heart of gold, Di was one of the most selfless people there ever was. She was dedicated to making her family feel loved and special with her acts of kindness. Her memory continues through the lives of her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, and those who were lucky to call Di a friend.
She is predeceased by her mother, Ida Moran; brother, Robert Moran; brother George Moran; sister-in-law Laura Moran, and son Todd DeBaise. She is survived by her son, Ryan; daughter-in-law Melanie, and their children, Matthew, Brielle, and Nikolas. Her son Troy; daughter-in-law Jennifer, and their children Olivia, Ian, and Cole. Her 3 great-grandchildren, Henry, Beau, and Baylee. She will be greatly missed.
The family will hold a private service.
