She grew up as the oldest of 4 close sisters; Diane Rosetti, Doris Woodbury, and Geneva McAlkich.
Dixie met her life-long love Raymond Ranstadler at the high school she graduated from in Roseville, MI.
4 years later, she married that love Ray, on May 22, 1965. Together they dedicated their lives to each other and raising their 3 children.

Her daughter Chanda married Christopher Kozera. And, her son Raymond Ranstadler Jr. married Lindsey Erber and had her granddaughters Alexandra and Josephine. Also, her cherished nieces and nephews.
You just can't think of Dixie without thinking of her many "honorary sisters" from Petoskey to East Jordan, Vanderbilt to Englewood Florida, and her Traverse City "Dixie Chicks" and so many other dear friends of her heart.
Dixie will be remembered for her kindness, and her genuine concern for all people. She was well known for her love of fishing, gardening, walks in the woods looking for morels, and helping others by volunteering to teach them about the Bible and the God she loved, Jehovah. She had faith that her God by his son Jesus will help her be reunited with her family again.
Dixie and her family is being cared for by the Reynolds Jonkhoff Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
