Dilma Nissel, 60, passed away Tuesday, January 25, 2022 at Akron General Medical Center.
She was born in Brooklyn, New York and upon completion of High School she enlisted in the U.S. Army as a medic. While stationed at Fort Richardson in Alaska, she met her husband of 38 years, Brian. She enjoyed volunteering at her children's school in various activities and she also enjoyed traveling and spending time with her grandchildren.
Dilma was preceded in death by her parents, Eladio and Edna (Rivera) Pabon; brother, Eladio Pabon, Jr.; and brother-in-law, Richard Sanchez. She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Brian Nissel; children, Michelle (Rachelle) Nissel, Elizabeth (Alex Bridges) Nissel and Joseph (Bethany) Nissel; sister, Rosalind Sanchez; brothers, Saul and Edward Pabon; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Patricia and Floyd Nissel; brothers-in-law, Mark (Colleen) and Paul (Julie) Nissel; and grandchildren, Koa, Zoey and Jackson Nissel.
Funeral service will be held Monday, 11 a.m. at the Anthony Funeral Home Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S. Main St. Akron, Ohio 44301. Pastor Terry Baker officiating. Interment at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday, 2 to 5 p.m. at the funeral home. Donations may be made to One of a Kind Pet Rescue, 1700 W.
