Dick Earl Pixler, 81, died February 21, 2021 at Mantey Heights nursing home. Dick was born February 24, 1939 in Cripple Creek, Colorado to Ronald (Richard) A. and Lillian E. Pixler.
He was married to Catherine L. Pixler (Dalley). She preceded him in death. He is survived by children: Robin (Daniel) O'Connor, Misty Dittebrand, Peggy Griffith, David (Molly) Pixler, and Stacy (Don) Pinnt along with 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Dick Joined the Navy in 1957 and was honorably discharged in 1959. He worked in construction and operated heavy equipment for many years. He owned and operated a gas station on North Avenue for a while. Dick enjoyed fishing and going to Mesquite with his wife to try his luck on the slot machines.
In lieu of flowers please consider making a memorial contribution in Dick's name to a veterans' charity of your choice such as the Wounded Warriors Project or the VA Medical Center
Military Honors will be held 03/02/21 1pm at Veterans Cemetery, GJ, CO
