DOWDEY, DiAnne DiAnne Gordon Dowdey, 84, of Dallas, Texas, passed away on Wednesday June 1, 2022. DiAnne was born October 16, 1937 in Celina, Ohio to Jeanne Myers Gordon and William Gordon. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Dan M. Dowdey, a son, Michael S. Dowdey and his wife Cynthia, a daughter, Susan Schroder and her husband Frank. She is also survived by her three grandchildren, Nicholas Schroder, Emma Schroder, and Davis Dowdey. She graduated from Hillcrest High School in 1955 and the University of Arkansas in 1961. She was a member of Zeta Tau Alpha sorority and was a Razorback Beauty in 1959. She enjoyed playing tennis and bridge with friends as well as watching sports. She was a long time member at Bent Tree Country Club. She also volunteered in the Care Corps ministry at CARE Church in Richardson, Texas and delivered Meals on Wheels for 50 years. A Celebration of Life will be at 11am Friday, June 10th at CARE Church, 1504 E. Campbell Road, Richardson, Texas 75082. Visitation at 10am. Memorial donations are suggested to Care Corps ministry at CARE Church.
