Diana Rose (Torres) Lippert, 91, of East Hampton, wife of the late Cecil D. Lippert, passed away on August 16, 2024, at her daughters' home. Born in White Plains, New York, she was the daughter of Antonio and Amalia (Barone) Torres.
Diana lived in East Hampton for thirty years. She was active in the Senior Center in East Hampton and enjoyed volunteering in Marlborough as well. She was an avid bowler. Diana just adored her grandchildren.
Diana is survived by her son Donald D. Richey of Cromwell; two daughters Deborah A. Schmaltz and her husband John of Cromwell and Doris A. Neuton and her husband Doug of Las Vegas, NV; seven grandchildren Leila Nuland (William), Lorelei Richey, Kelsey Myrick (Eric), John Schmaltz, Lindsey Schmaltz, Zachary Schmaltz and Brittany Schmaltz and six great grandchildren, Arianna Dhanraj, Elise Myrick, Sonja Nuland, Naomi Nuland, Samuel Nuland and John Schmaltz, III.
Along with her husband, Diana was predeceased by her daughter-in-law Gail Richey.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 26th at 11:30 am at the Cromwell Funeral Home, 506 Main Street, Cromwell. A burial will follow in the State Veterans Cemetery in Middletown. Family and friends may call on Monday morning from 10:30 to 11:30 am at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations in Diana's memory may be made to The Sister's Project, P.O.
