Diana Lee Donegan , 74 Aug 5, 1946 - Feb 9, 2021 Diana Lee Donegan (74), peacefully passed away on February 9, 2021 at her home in Murrells Inlet, SC. She was born in Greene, New York on August 5, 1946 to Robert and Grace Borst. On October 30, 1966 she was joined in marriage to Terrence Lee Donegan.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Grace Borst; brother, Brian Borst; nephew, Christopher Borst; loving husband Terrence "Terry" Donegan.
She is survived by her step-mother Eileen Borst, sister-in-law Chris Borst, step Sister Christine Richardson and half -sister Suzanne DiNenna; children Mark Donegan and wife Terri, of Boonsboro, MD, Matthew Donegan and, Erin Donegan-Hendricks and her significant other Laramie Trenkamp of Myrtle Beach, SC; grandchildren Heather Williams, Katelyn Donegan, Tiffany Piskor, Zachary Hendricks, Karlee Hendricks, Ryan Donegan, Emily Donegan, Colin Donegan and Landon Trenkamp; six great grandchildren, many loving friends, and two beloved cats.
Diana attended Mrs. Judy's school of dance in Hagerstown, MD as a child where she met the love of her life, Terry. She attended St. Mary's Catholic school as well as St. Maria Goretti High School. She also attended Hagerstown Junior College, Hood College, and West Virginia University achieving her Masters degree while working at Washington County Hospital as a Registered Nurse, Clinician, and eventually their first ever Patient Advocate through 1999. Since 2000, Diana thoroughly enjoyed working as a Case Manager at Grand Strand Medical Center in Myrtle Beach, SC where she was loved by her co-workers.
Diana and Terry were inseparable; anyone that witnessed them dance together knew this. From their first home on Patrick Road to Sycamore Heights in Hagerstown, Maryland, they enjoyed many neighborhood gourmet clubs and get togethers with their friends which carried forward to their new home (2000) in Indigo Creek located in Murrells Inlet, SC
Diana was an avid reader, cook, and traveler. She enjoyed seeing the world with her close friends and opening up her home to visitors far and wide. The bonds that she forged with family and friends throughout her lifetime were a tremendous source of pride.
In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that memorial donations be made in her name to a charity of ones choice or the Nurse's Honor Guard.

The family will receive friends at a celebration of her life on Saturday February 20, 2021 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Goldfinch Funeral Home in Murrells Inlet, South Carolina and at a date to be announced at Rest Haven Funeral Home in Hagerstown, MD. She and Terry will be interred together as they wished.
