Dewayne R. "Bud" Fearer, 83, went Home to be with the Lord January 6, 2022. He was born in Uniontown, PA to the late Everett and Dora (Hoover) Fearer and moved to Akron as a youth where he was a 1956 Ellet High School graduate.
Dewayne retired from the FW Albrecht Company with 40 years of service, and was a member of the Teamsters Local 348 and Grace Baptist Church. He proudly earned 18 Beautification Awards from the City of Akron and enjoyed coaching youth baseball and trips to Myrtle Beach.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Everett Jr.; nephew, Matthew Boarman; and brothers-in-law, Joseph Burnside and Elmer Wagler. Dewayne is survived by his children, Randy (Judy), Sheree (Phil) Smith, Ron (Erin) and Nick (Maura); grandchildren, Kristin, Daniel (Hollie), Jeff (Megan), Jonny (Stephany), Hillary (Kevin), Brynn and Zoey; great-grandchildren, Ellie, Bristol, Parker, Kenzie and Adeline; sisters, Retha Burnside, Carolyn (Noel) Boarman and Bonnie Wagler; and many other loving relatives and friends.
The family would like to express sincere thanks to the staff of the Village of St. Edward at Wadsworth for their heartfelt care.
The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 11, 2022 at 12 noon at Grace Baptist Church, 704 N. Firestone Blvd., Akron, OH 44306 with Pastor Robert Stephens officiating. Calling hours will be at the church for two hours prior to the service, from 10 a.m. - 12 noon with burial at Hillside Memorial Park.
