Denzel Terrel Jones, born August 16,1993, departed his earthly life into eternal rest on July 13, 2022. He was the son of Ralph Gough and Yulonda and Joseph Lewis, all of Buckingham County.
Denzel was a member of Calvary Hill Baptist Church in New Canton Virginia. He graduated from Buckingham County High School in 2011. After graduating he attended ATI Trade School in Norfolk Virginia, where he became certified in Auto Mechanics. Denzel use those skills to work for Umansky Toyota in Charlottesville Virginia. He then moved on to work for Walmart Distribution center (DC 7016) in Gordonsville Virginia, which was a job he thoroughly enjoyed.
The highlight of his life was his two adorable children Peyton and Preston. He was a wonderful father, son, brother, and friend. We will always remember him for his beautiful smile and big heart that touched a lot of lives.
Denzel is preceded in death by his great grandparents, grandfather William Lewis Sr. and his baby brother Joseph Jr.
He leaves to cherish his memories, children Peyton and Preston Jones, their mother Ashley Smith. His grandparents Payton and Gracie Tutwyler and Ralph and Phyllis Gough, all of Buckingham County, Grandmother Julia Lewis of Fluvanna County. His sister Courtney Jones, brothers Andre Lewis and Jerrod Lewis all of New Canton. His nephew Elijah Jones of New Canton. His aunts, Stacy, Tammy, Melissa, April, Crystal, Amanda, and Wyndi. His uncles Shawn, Christopher, Tony, William Jr, Sean, Chris and a host of cousins and other relatives and friends.
Special friend Ashley Davis, close school friends Brandon, Kendall, Rosario, Branden, and Ben, the DC 7016 crew, his bowling club, and his Umansky mechanic buddies.
