Denny Gail Foust, 78, passed away at 1:20 a.m. on Friday, April 1, 2022, at The Springs of Lima. He was born March 19, 1944, in Elida, OH, to Gail E. and Gay E. (Baxter) Foust. They both preceded him in death. He was united in marriage to Mary Andersen on July 23, 1966. She survives in Lima.
Denny is survived by daughters, Gail (William) Wieser of Lima and Kirsten St. John of Carlsbad, NM; sisters, Lynnette (Dave) Ellis of Elida, Jannette (Jim) Crumrine of Oviedo, FL; sister-in-law, Eleanor (Kenny) Collins of Toledo; grandchildren, Adam Wieser of Van Wert, Alyssa (Frank) Nunziata of Columbus, Aerika (Thomas) Baker of Beavercreek, Alex Wieser of Troy, Sydney and Ryan St. John of Carlsbad, NM; and great-grandchild, Angelo William Nunziata of Columbus.
Denny received his Master's from Tulsa University after having earned his Bachelor's from Bowling Green State University. He was a geologist and worked for the State of New Mexico Oil and Gas Division. He enjoyed hunting, reading, and fishing especially at Navajo Lake, Lake Powell, and Lake Amistad.
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 9, 2022, at Harter & Schier Funeral Home. Burial will be held at a later date in Greenlawn Cemetery, Elida, OH. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Friday, April 8, 2022, and an hour before the funeral service at Harter & Schier Funeral Home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Shriners, St. Jude's, or a non-profit of the donor's choice.
