Dennis passed away peacefully on October 8th, 2019 in Los Angeles, CA.
Born on May 10th, 1944, in Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina, Dennis received his BA and PhD from the University of North Carolina. In 1970 Dennis joined the Indiana University faculty as a professor. He was a passionate educator and scholar, a prolific researcher, and the author of several books with his work published in business journals and textbooks.
Along with his commitment to education, Dennis was a dedicated philanthropist and supported numerous organizations including the National Society for Arts and Letters, Humane Society, and several scholarship funds.
An avid sports enthusiast, Dennis was also an excellent softball player, talented photographer and a skilled ballroom dancer.
Dennis is preceded in death by his parents Albert and Mary Organ; his sisters Evangeline Brewer, Christine Carter, and, Nadine Brewer.
He is survived by his wife Lynn Organ; step daughter Elaine, her husband Jay and three children; along with his five nieces and nephews.
Dennis will be missed by his wife Lynn, family, friends, colleagues and softball team.
