Dennis Eugene Everett, 71, of Charlotte passed away on Sunday, October 14, 2018 at his home with his
family by his side. He was born on September 18, 1947 in Shelby, NC, to the late Paul and Maggie Brown
Everett. He was an alumnus of both UNC Charlotte where he received his B.A., and Duke University
where he received his M.B.A. Proudly he served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Dennis was
employed throughout life by Duke Power, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and
retired from Merrill Lynch. Among his many hobbies, some of his favorite ones were golf, reading, and
taking long walks. Surviving is his devoted spouse, Pamela Lauren Murray; children: Susan Laiewski and
her spouse, David, of Greenville, SC, Jessi M. Rosenbaum and her spouse, Stephen, of Atlanta, GA,
Nathan B. Everett of Charlotte, NC; siblings: L.W. "Wink" Everett and his spouse, Carol, of Lattimore, NC,
Louise Lookadoo and her spouse, Oliver of Shelby, NC, Mary Ann Curtis of El Cajon, CA, Kathy I. Everett
and her spouse, George Rhyne, of Carlisle, PA, and Paul P. Everett Jr. and his spouse, Carolyn, of
Mooresboro, NC; and grandchildren: Brooke Elizabeth Ligon of Greenville, SC, Joseph Edward
Rosenbaum and Everett Cole Rosenbaum both of Atlanta, GA. A graveside service will be held at 2:00
PM on Friday, October 19, 2018 at Carolina Memorial Sanctuary in Mills River, NC. Memorials may be
made to the American Bicycling Education Association, Cycling Savvy Scholarships at
