Denny Evans passed away on August 2, 2022 at his home in New Caney, Texas. Denny was born on October 10, 1945 in Spencer, Iowa to Leland and Phyllis Evans and lived most of his adult life in the Houston area. After graduating from Spencer High School, Denny moved to Des Moines to attend college until he was drafted into the military where he was stationed in South Korea. When he returned he met and married Terri Hamrick in 1969. They went on to have two daughters Melanie (Neal) and Meredith (Darrel) and had five grandchildren, Maddison, Darla, & Jonathan, Ellie and Avery.
He married Donna Casey in 1980 and they enjoyed 36 years together riding Harley Davidsons, going to car shows and traveling to Belize and other tropical places. Denny owned Humble Paint & Body Shop for many years and had a passion for vintage hot rods. On and off throughout his life he participated in car shows, winning many awards for his prized 1936 Chevrolet Sedan Delivery. Denny spent the last five years in a relationship with Diane Chisam of Kingwood. They had a great time socializing with friends and spending their summers in Okoboji, IA. Denny had lots of friends, many of whom he had stayed connected to since childhood. He kept in touch regularly by phone with friends near and far. He had a great sense of humor and entertained people wherever he went. We will miss him.
Denny was preceded in death by his father, mother, and his wife, Donna and is survived by his sister Cindy Evans (Greg Foote), his children and grandchildren.
