Dennis G. Doan, 72, of Benton Harbor, died Friday, July 15, 2022, at Heritage Point in Mishawaka, Ind.
Services will be at noon on Saturday, July 23, at Allred Funeral Home in Berrien Springs, where friends are invited to visit with the family beginning at 11 a.m. Graveside military services will be at 2:30 p.m. Monday, July 25, in Fort Custer National Cemetery in Augusta, Mich.

Dennis was born Sept. 22, 1949, in Benton Harbor and graduated from Benton Harbor High school.
He joined the U.S. Navy in 1968. He was stationed on the USS McCaffery as a gunners mate, and he enjoyed firing the 5-inch guns.
After the Navy, he returned home to start his career with Gast Manufacturing, where he retired 42 years later. He enjoyed running marathons, especially the Chicago Marathon. He also enjoyed biking and riding his Harley, working in his flower garden, and having breakfast with his friends every morning.
He is survived by his father, Alva Doan; son, Jeff (Stephanie) Doan; two grandchildren: Victoria and Michelle; two great-grandchildren: Anna and Eli; and two brothers: Gary (Debra) Doan and Darrell (Sandy) Doan.
Dennis was preceded in death by his mother, Janice; and his sister, Barb Davidson.
