On Saturday, January 29, 2022, Dennis Chupron, loving husband, father of two children, and six grandchildren, passed away peacefully at the age of 76. Dennis was born on May 12, 1945 in New Britain, CT to Leo and Regina (Murr) Chupron. Dennis worked for 43 years at The Stanley Works in New Britain as a Materials Manager. On October 16, 1967, he married Eileen Capega. Together they raised two children Tippi and Dennis Jr. Dennis loved being involved in his children and grandchildren's' lives. He loved to watch his two children play baseball and softball through their childhood. He was so invested in their success he built a fullsize battling cage with a pitching machine in the backyard, as well as a transforming the basement into a pitching and hitting skills center. When not at work he would be found taking care of his yard and tending to his vegetable and flower gardens. His love for his son was clearly evident when he built a custom garage, with a complete machine shop and fabrication studio, in order for his son to pursue his dreams of building and racing cars. Anyone who met Dennis would be entertained for hours listening to stories about his son and his racing stories. Dennis would come across as a strong, rugged, and confident man. However, as you got to know him most would say that his "bark was worse than his bite". His soft side showed in his love for his grandchildren and his cats. He was known as Dad, Papa, Grampa, and Grumpa (Grumpy Grandpa) buy those who loved him most. Dennis was preceded in death by his father, Leo, and his mother, Regina. He is survived by his wife, Eileen, his daughter, Tippi and Brian Popp, his son, Dennis Jr. and Lauren (McManus) Chupron, his brother Leo Jr. and Margie Chupron, and six grandchildren, Giovanni Martinez, Olivia, Parker, Cooper, Camille Chupron and Riley Popp, as well as several cousins and nephews.
