Denise Marie Kura left this world to be with our Lord on Sunday, May 30. She was born on August 18, 1954, to Dallas and Joan Harney in Anderson, Indiana and grew up in Port Arthur, Texas.
Denise loved the Lord, and this love was made clear to everyone she came in contact with. She was a gifted and compassionate teacher for twenty-eight years, and in her free time she enjoyed studying the Bible with her BSF group. She loved her family fiercely and they are left with wonderful memories of great times spent together. Her greatest love, second to her love for the Lord, was for her husband, Randy.
In a conversation before her death, Denise stated, "I like what we said about my death being a homecoming with the Lord and my loved ones."
Survivors include her children; Jonathan and Alison Naas, four wonderful grandchildren; Olivia Martinez, Audrey Martinez, Lauren Naas, and Will Naas; her sister, Deborah Harney (Jeanne); and her beloved husband of 25 years, Randy Kura. Denise was also blessed in life with many dear and loving friends who she adored and treasured.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Dallas and Joan, and her previous husband, Tom McGinley.
