Delvin "Ray" Young, age 81, of Eubank, KY, passed away on Wednesday, September 7, 2022 at his residence.
Ray was born on July 23, 1941 in Eubank, KY to the late Lloyd Young and Amy (Neeley) Young. He was a Heavy Equipment operator for most of his life. Ray was generous, hardworking, enjoyed fishing and being outside. He especially loved spending time with all his friends, family, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Ray always looked forward to family gatherings. He was willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need and always did whatever he could to help his family and friends.
He is survived by one son, Delvin Lee (Nancy) Young of Owasso, OK; two daughters, Donna (Al) Pierce of Mooresville, IN and Dolores (Brian) Harman of Walkerton, IN; one sister, Rosetta Hall of Summerville, SC; seven grandchildren, Kyle Young, Tate Young, Steve (Tia) Pierce, Al (Courtney) Pierce, Telinna (Kevin) Einspahr, Sidney Harman and Tanner (Amanda) Harman; eleven great grandchildren, Noah Pierce, Taylor Pierce, Elijah Pierce, Alex Pierce, Ruby Pierce, Daxton Einspahr, Easton Einspahr, Bexley Einspahr, Jase Jester, Bryce Buckingham and Lorelei Harman; his former wife and mother of his children, Barbara Young of Mooresville, IN; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members.
Along with his parents he was preceded in death by eight brothers, Herstal Young, Esten Young, Starlin Young, Theo Young, Cecil Young, Vernon Young, Joe Young and George "G.M." Young; and three sisters, Velma Chastain, Melba Crane and Glenna Carter.
Visitation will be on Friday, September 9, 2022 from 5:00pm until 7:00pm at Lake Cumberland Funeral Home, 1046 West Highway Business 80, Somerset, KY 42503.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, September 10, 2022 at 11:00am at Pulaski Baptist Church Cemetery with Ray's Nephew, Rev. Forrest Young officiating. Burial will follow at Pulaski Baptist Church Cemetery, 70 Pulaski Church Road, Eubank, KY 42567.
