Delora (Dee) Vanderpool, 82, of Marysville, WA passed away at home with her 3 girls and her beloved dog Joey by her side, on Oct. 18, 2021. She was born Feb. 19, 1939 in Everett, WA to Frank and Alice Johnson and lived on the family homestead her entire life.
After graduating from Marysville High school in 1957 Delora was a stay at home mom until her daughters were raised and then she began her proud working career with the Boeing Company where she remained until retirement. She was of the generation which didn't shy away from dedication and hard work and she always felt honored and grateful for her employment with them.
Delora is survived by her faithful companion Marlin(Marty) Vanderpool; daughters Rhonda Madsen, Brenda Hadwin, and Charlotte Rockford(Steve); brother Dennis(Elaine) Johnson; grandchildren Angela(Joe) Haala, Stephanie Ketchum, Christina Elliott, and Kirk Rockford; great grandchildren Madden, Lucas, and Evangeline; niece Michelle Tozer; nephew Dave Johnson; several beloved cousins; and a very special friend, Karen Bower. She was deeply loved.
Graveside service will be held at Marysville Cemetery on Oct. 27 at 12:00pm. Due to Covid restrictions guests are required to bring their own graveside seating and face masks are required. Arrangements entrusted to Schaefer-Shipman Funeral Home.
