Delois Jackson

Mrs. Delois Jean Goldman Jackson, 81, of Clearwater, SC, affectionately known as "Nanner," wife of the late George Goldman, entered into rest on Saturday, March 1, 2025, in the comfort of her home under the kind and compassionate care of Agape Care of South Carolina.

A lifelong area resident, she was the daughter of the late Willie Edward and Cleo Green Burns. For many years, she was the secretary for the family business, Goldman's Pest Control. "Nannner loved children. After retiring from the family business, she worked at Best Friends Daycare in North Augusta and later at Midland Valley Community Church of the Nazarene.

Miss Delois Jean enjoyed keeping her yard immaculate and was an excellent cook. She was well known for the delicious cornbread she made.

Surviving are children Gerald (Lois) Goldman, Cathy (Susan) Goldman, and Michael Goldman; siblings Jerry (Pam) Burns and William Burns; grandchildren Matthew Roberts, Jeromy Goldman, Melissa Goldman, Christy (Chris) May, Vickie Bunch and Glenda Depp, as well as numerous great-grandchildren and other relatives.

Along with her parents, also preceding her death, were daughters Stella Gomisch and Brenda Milner and a sister, Lorine Burdette.

Friends will be greeted by the family on Thursday at 1 o'clock at Hatcher Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 3464 Jefferson Davis Highway, Graniteville, SC. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 3 o'clock in the chapel of Hatcher Funeral Home and Cremation Service. Pastors Phillip Harris and Jerry Burns, Jr. will officiate. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Graniteville, SC. Jeromy Goldman, Conner Phillips, Fritz Morin, Chase Burton, Caleb Harris, and Brandon Cordell are honored to serve as pallbearers.

Considering the loving care given to Miss Delois Jean by Lisa, Alex, and Jessica, the family has asked that memorials in her memory be given to Agape Care of South Carolina (Aiken) (sc.agapecaregroup.com)
