Delmer Lee Wilson, 75, of Lubbock met his Savior on November 3, 2022.
Delmer was born July 31, 1947, in Lubbock to Coll and Fern Hollingsworth Wilson. The family moved to Levelland in 1949, where he graduated from Levelland High School in 1966. He played football and ran track for the Lobos, and he was also in choir. He attended South Plains College and was a proud founding member of the Young Republicans Club. He was active in the Republican Party and State Conventions in the 70's and 80's. He worked for Amoco Pipeline, Gebo's, and L.T. Kincer until he retired. He was a member of the Baptist church. He loved fishing, searching for arrowheads, and Texas history. The most important thing to him was being a loving and devoted father and Grandpa! We will never forget the time spent listening to his favorite tunes, and the blessing of his beautiful voice that he passed on to his daughter, son, and granddaughter. He was an amazing Grandpa and he received the most joy attending his grandkids events.
He loved Texas Tech athletics and he was also a devoted Astros fan!
He had a wonderful time attending the "Treasured Times" ministry for Dementia patients that he couldn't wait to go to every Wednesday! We will never forget the love and care shown to Dad even in his last days, and we are so thankful for the joy this ministry brought him.
Delmer is survived by Daughter Stacy White (Darron), Son, Aaron Wilson, Daughter Stephanie Edwards (Karl), Twin Brother Elmer Wilson, of Albuqurque, NM, Brother Thomas Wilson, of Levelland, Nephew Jason Culpepper, of Lubbock
