Deborah Fay "Debi" Prinkey, 66, of Melcroft, went home to the Lord on April 24, 2021. She was born Jan. 24, 1955, in Somerset, a daughter of the late Clyde and Beda Henry Fresh. Debi is a graduate of Rockwood High School and had worked in medical billing for Wilson Chiropractic in Mt. Pleasant. She was a member of the Davistown United Methodist Church. Debi had an unwavering faith in God. She enjoyed "Playing in the Dirt" planting flowers, sewing, spending time with her family and taking care of loved ones. Debi is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, John E. Prinkey of Melcroft: her children John Prinkey and Beth of Normalville and Jesse Prinkey and Alyssa of Somerset; her grandchildren: Colin Cross, Alex Miller, Eliza Cross, Cole Prinkey and Delaney Prinkey; her brother, Delmas Fresh and April of Normalville; her sister, Brenda Meyers and Ronnie of Somerset; and her special friends, Pat and Audrey Cain of Normalville; her nephews: Miles Meyers and Grace of Markleton, Justin Meyers and Vicki of Mesa, AZ, and Leonard Fresh of Normalville; and her nieces: Amber Meyers and Deon of Somerset, Olivia Fresh of Normalville, Jordan Wheatley of Somerset, and Riley Wheatley. In addition to her parents, Debi was predeceased by her daughter, Katherine Prinkey; her brother, Roger Fresh; her sister, Michelle Fresh; and her grandmothers, Kate Henry and Georgia Fresh. Family and friends will be received from 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in the Mark C. Brooks Funeral Home Inc., at the corner of Route 711 and 146 Municipal Building Road, Melcroft, (724-455-2310), where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, with Pastor Ralph Miller officiating, assisted by Pastor Leona Logan.
