David Charles Wall traveled the heavenly highway to be home with our Lord on April 12, 2022
surrounded by loved ones at IU Health Bloomington. He was 82 years old. David is survived by his loving wife Sharlene Jones Wall, sister Jeanie Engelking, children Scott (Teresa) Wall of Mobile AL, Vickie (Michael) Ross of Savanna GA, and stepdaughter Tammy Jones (Brad) Barker of Columbus, IN. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents Geneva and
Francis Wall, siblings, Ralph (Bud) Wall, Alice Mae Cole, stepson Rodger Jones and several
other close relatives. David was born on October 22, 1939 at home in Rush County, IN. He graduated
from Charlottesville High School and went on to attend Franklin College. David had deep
religious convictions and was an active member of the Brown County Presbyterian Fellowship
Church. David played wheelchair basketball and was awarded the National Most Valuable
Player in 1969. Before David's health started declining he enjoyed his wood working, golf and
traveling. He was an avid IU/Colts Fan and enjoyed going on long countryside road trips to find
unique places to eat. A funeral service for David is scheduled for Saturday April 16, 2022 at the Brown County
Presbyterian Fellowship Church in Nashville, IN. Friends and family may visit from 11-2pm
with a service immediately following. In keeping with David's wishes, he will be cremated.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to "On the Road Again" or "God's Grace" through the
