
David Isaac Spangler
Father, grandfather, uncle or nephew, whatever the title David tried to excel at it. There are those who may disagree but he loved his children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews and all those in his family. I'm proud to call him DAD!

David I. Spangler, 71, 2360 E. Price St., died Thursday, April 13, 2000, at Christus St. Joseph's
Hospital.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday, April 15, at Gene Roden's Sons Funeral Home Chapel with
the Rev. Tom Caulk officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be from
7-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Mr. Spangler was born Nov. 12, 1928, in Clarksville to David Franklin and Ora Elizabeth
Gamble Spangler. He had served in the Army and was a member of The Lighthouse Church.
Surviving are his wife, Patricia; daughters, Davelyn Lubbeck of Mesquite, Kimberly Wise of
Paris, and Susan Pascua of Mesquite; sons, Charles Spangler of Mabank, Robert Spangler of
Paris, and Kenneth Spangler of Balch Springs; a sister, Ora Irene Bennett of Queen City; 14
grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was
preceded in death by his parents and four sisters.
