David Snow Shea, 81, died Saturday, December 26, 2020, at home in Hudson, NH. He died peacefully following a short illness, surrounded by his wife and family.
He was born on Oct 26, 1939, in Marblehead, MA, the son of Myrtle (Snow) Shea and Anthony A Shea.
He was the husband of Mary (Colbert) Shea. They were married in 1963 in St Theresa's Church in West Roxbury, MA.
David attended Marblehead High School and was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He was a member of BPOE Augusta, ME, Marblehead VFW Post, and Gerry V VFA Masons. He worked for the Boston Redevelopment Authority for 25 years.
David is survived by wife Mary (Colbert), brother Anthony A Shea Jr, daughters Jane M Shea, Susan E Shea, and Elizabeth (Shea) Duffy, son-in-law Phil G Duffy Jr, and grandchildren Jessica S Shea, Phil G Duffy III, Mary C Duffy, and Victoria G Duffy.
He is predeceased by sisters Patricia (Shea) Minincleri and Elizabeth (Shea) Brocher, and by granddaughter Patricia L Duffy.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and spending time at his summer camp in Maine.
Services will be held on April 24, 2021, at 11 AM at Our Lady, Star of the Sea 85 Atlantic Avenue Marblehead, MA 01945.
