David Terry Schwiebert of Sun City Hilton Head South Carolina was released into eternal life with Jesus Christ on September 15, 2020. He joyously rejoined Sandy whom he has loved for 60 + years.
Dave, 86, was born to Homer W. and Lillian (Pehle) Schwiebert on April 27, 1934 in Perry, Iowa. Surviving are 2 sons, Stuart and Thomas of San Diego, CA and daughter, Judy Anekal and grandson Miles, both of Brooklyn, NY. His beloved wife Sandra Ann and brother Phillip preceded him in death.
He was raised and educated in Monmouth, Illinois where he graduated from college in 1959 after serving 2 years in the U.S. Air Force. Past affiliations include Alpha Tau Omega Fraternity, Kiwanis Club, Meals on Wheels, Second Helpings, Stephen Ministry and Staying Connected. David's recreational interests were flying (commercial pilot & flight instructor) fast-pitch softball, tennis and golf. (3 holes in one)
He was employed by Ford Motor Company as a Zone Manager in Salt Lake City and later in the vehicle leasing industry in San Diego.
Cremation has been accorded and the cremains will be interred next to Sandy's at the historic campus, Church of the Cross in Bluffton, SC. The family invites friends to gather at his residence to celebrate David's life. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established at the Church Of The Cross, P.O. Box 278, Bluffton, S.C. 29910.
