Passed in Rochester, NY surrounded by his family on March 14, 2020 at age 88.
David is survived by his two daughters, Suzanne and Kathleen Clark, Rochester, NY and his two grandchildren, Devin Kawaoka (Matthew-Lee Erlbach), Los Angeles, CA. and Diana Eastman (Scott Veitch), London, UK. He was predeceased by his loving wife, Donna Jean Clark, who shared in all his sailing adventures; his parents, Ralph and Iva Clark, Clio, MI; and brother, Jack Clark (Faith), Grand Rapids, MI.
David was raised in Clio, MI., but found a passion for sailing on family lake holidays. He built his first sailboat out of an orange crate and built 4 more sailboats throughout his lifetime. After retiring from Fisher Body as a journeyman pattern maker at 55, he and Donna began a 7-year sailing adventure on the "My Way "commencing at Tawas Bay, MI and ending in Florida with side excursions to the Caribbean and up the Tennessee River. He was also a scratch bowler, bowling coach, and an avid golfer. David was a lifelong member of the US Power Squadron and a ham radio operator.
