David Allen Rains was called home to be with his Lord and Savior on July 29, 2020. Born on 8/8/1955 in Bridgeport, Tx to Calvin and Jannette Rains, he graduated with Honors from San Houston State University. David fought drug addiction in his youth that resulted in his incarceration, during which he was led to the Lord by Chaplain Pickett. Upon his release David never touched drugs or alcohol again, and dedicated his life to serving his Lord, his family, and his fellow man. He built numerous successful businesses servicing the Commercial Finance industry and investing in real estate. David was a very positive and loving person with a quick wit and sharp humor. He had a personality that was bigger than life and a laugh that could shake walls. He was always willing to help others and was very generous with both his time and resources. David was an excellent friend and trusted mentor to many people, but his passion was helping men who have been incarcerated become productive citizens through the Prison Entrepreneurship Program. He also donated his time and resources to the Rotary Club, American Factoring Assoc., Texas Country Boys and his local church. David is survived by his beloved wife, Billie, his sons Christopher Rains and Billy Jack Ford, his daughters, Jimmie Ford and Chelsea Pollard, 7 Grandchildren Michael, Elizabeth and Alexis Griffin, Isabella Latche, Alyssa and Alayna Hallett, Alyssa Rains and the most recent joy of his life, Ryker Allen Rains.
