A resident of Syracuse, NY, Alexandria Bay, NY, and New Port Richey, FL, he was born in Syracuse on March 16, 1949. He was employed by Onondaga County Sheriff's Dept. Police Division on road patrol since 1974, and retired in 1999. David was also a licensed NYS Funeral Director. He was in the first graduating class of TJ Corcoran HS in 1966, previously attended Central Tech HS and Onondaga Valley Academy, and was a graduate of Simmons School of Mortuary Science. He proudly served as a SGT in the US Army, serving in Vietnam, '69-'70, with honorable discharge in '71. David was a member of the following Fraternal Organizations: Onondaga County Sheriff's Police Assoc., chapter 30; Disabled American Veterans, Syracuse chapter; Vietnam Veterans of America, Syracuse Chapter 103; American Legion Post 79, NPR, FL; and Chester Mckay VFW Post 7987, NPR, FL. He is survived by his wife, Christine; son, Jason D (Erica) Poquadeck of Marcellus; stepdaughter, Sara D'Agostino Martin (Lawrence) of Cazenovia; his grandchildren, Zoe Poquadeck, Addison Martin, Sarah Martin, and Nate Schreiner; sister, Susan Gardner of Syracuse, and several nieces and nephews.
