Mr. David Keith Pelt, age 69, of High Falls passed away Thursday, August 26, 2021 at Monroe County Hospital.
David was born in Griffin, Georgia on June 27, 1952 to the late Ray Franklin and Fannie Mae Brannon Pelt. His brothers, Eddie Van Pelt, Danny Ray Pelt and Bobby Langston, precede him in death. David formerly worked for Spalding County Corrections and most recently in the film industry for Risk Management of Atlanta. He enjoyed spending quality time with his friends and family, fishing, music, shooting guns and trips to the beach. He was a member of Rock Springs Church as well as a member of the National Rifle Association and the Sons of Confederate Veterans; he was also a contributor to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation.
He is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Dylan and Brandie Pelt of High Falls, Georgia; son and daughter-in-law, Brandon Pelt and Debra McClure of Ottumwa, Iowa; grandchildren Melanie Simpson, Nicholas Liner, Cali Liner, and Dalton Pelt; life-long friends Phyllis Langston, Melissa and Jeremy Steger, all of Griffin, James and Diane Harris of The Villages, Florida and Denise Cline of Panama City, Florida.
A memorial service will be Saturday, September 4, 2021 at 11:00 am in the Chapel of Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. Pastor Trey Varner will officiate.
