
David Dale Mortinsen

David D. Mortinsen, age 49, of LaVergne, TN, passed away on Sunday, February 8, 2015 at St. Thomas Mid-Town Hospital surrounded by his family and friends. A native of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, he was born on August 24, 1965 and preceded in death by his father, Dale Mortinsen.
Funeral services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Woodfin Chapel in Smyrna. Tim Bennett will officiate. Burial in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
David is survived by his loving wife of 24 years, Christy Hoover Mortinsen; daughters, Paige and Cassidy Mortinsen; mother, Stephanie Mortinsen; father and mother in-law, Charlie and Genny Hoover; two brothers, Darin and Dayna Mortinsen; nieces, Megan and Kristin Mortinsen; nephews, Justin and Ethan Mortinsen.
David was a general manager with Diesel Power for over 30 years and very devoted to his job. He was a die-hard Green Bay Packers fan and loved to cook. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, and hunting and was always known as a jokester.
Trevor Green, Chuck Roberts, Eddie Pittman, Bobby Dial, Justin Mortinsen and Ethan Mortinsen will serve as Pallbearers.
Memorials can be made to the American Heart Association in memory of Mr. Mortinsen.
