David Lee Lane age 67, of Rossville, GA. passed away on Friday March 18th, 2022. A member of the Rossville High School, Class of 1974. He followed in the footsteps of his father and started working construction jobs before he could even drive. After high school he worked as a carpenter for John Martin Construction of Chattanooga on projects like the Maclellan Building remodel downtown, and the Round House at UTC. The skills he learned on these projects took him around the world working on everything from missile defense bases on the Marshall Islands in the South Pacific to U.S Embassy remodels across Europe in the 1990's. He spent several years raising horses on Lookout Mountain before heading for warmer weather in Florida. He is preceded in death by his parents David F Lane, and Iva Nell Lane of Rossville. Survivors include his sister Brenda Wooten of Chickamauga, GA. His girlfriend Linda Ellis of Newton, AL and his children Chris (Tracy) Lane, of Chattanooga, TN. April (Jason) Caruso of Rock Hill S.C., and Shaun (Robin) Buchanan of Sevierville, TN. Also his five amazing grandchildren, Sophia Lane, Blake Buchanan, Rose Buchanan, Shaun Buchanan Jr. and Spencer Buchanan and several nieces and nephews and many friends he had throughout his life.
