David Earl Jensen

WALKERTON - David E. Jensen passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, July 2, 2023 in his home. He was born on April 21, 1958 in LaPorte to Paul and Mary Ellen "Mae" (Boyle) Jensen, both whom survive. He was 65 years old at the time of his death. Dave lived in the area his entre life and on August 8, 1981 in Hamlet he married the late Bernadette "Loki" (Lenz). He was a retired Supervisor at Hoosier Racing Tire and a member of St. Dominick Catholic Church in Koontz Lake. Dave enjoyed car shows, cruise nights, traveling, and his recent retirement. Most of all Dave cherished his family dearly, especially spending time with his grandkids. He is survived by three sons D.J. (DeeAnn) Jensen of West Point, IN, Eric (Laura) Jensen of Granger, and Andrew (Tremeise Cole) Jensen of South Bend; seven grandchildren Deklon, Jack, Dawsyn, Amelia, Kobe, Henry, and Maren; his parents Paul and Mae Jensen of Hamlet; one sister Paula Jensen of Hamlet; and his companion Susan Bachert of North Judson. He was preceded in death by his wife Loki and one sister Karen Jensen. Visiting hours will be from Noon to 2:00 CDT on Thursday, July 13, 2023 at Rannells Funeral Home, Hamlet Chapel. Funeral Services will be at 2:00 PM CDT also on Thursday, July 13 at the funeral home.
