David A. Harris Sr., age 74 of North Canton, OH passed
away on Saturday, December 18, 2021. He was born on
November 10, 1947 in Barberton, OH to the late Guy and
Leora Harris. David retired from the Summit County
Sheriff's Office as a deputy after 30 years of service. He
took an immense amount of pride in his work and
helping others. His other passions were the Cleveland
Indians, birds, and his family most of all. David was a
social butterfly and could strike up a conversation with
just about anyone. In addition to his parents, David is
preceded in death by his son, David Harris Jr., and several
siblings. He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Tracy L.
Harris, children: Denise, Alisha (Patrick), Kayla, Justin,
Kelly, Brandon, and Jacob, grandchildren: Emma, Kaylee,
Holly, Morgan, and Megan, and special companion,
Benny. A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday,
December 29, 2021 at 11 AM at Tallmadge Church of the
Nazarene with Pastor Karla Maple officiating. Friends and
family may call one hour prior to the service at the
church. The family would like to extend a special thank
you to Ayden Health Care and Aultman Compassionate
