David Allan Greenway passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 26, 2020. He was 53 years old.
David was born on February 16, 1967, in Campbell Memorial Hospital in Weatherford, Texas, to Charles "Charlie" and Norma Jo Greenway. He was the second born of four sons.
David graduated from Weatherford High School in the summer of 1985. He worked in the family business, Estes Vase Company, for much of his early life. Later on, he took his artistic talents and opened his own tattoo parlor named Lucky Lotus in River Oaks, Fort Worth. Later in life, he and Heather owned Punkin Patch Craft Designs where they used their creativity to design fabrics and patterns for the sewing industry.
He was loved by an enormous circle of friends and family who constantly sought his wise advice, fatherly lectures, and random philosophical discussions. To his friends he was known as, and will forever be remembered as "Freeway".
David is survived by his wife Heather Gavin and son Dash of Granbury, Texas, older son Dayton Greenway of Weatherford, Texas. He is also survived by brother James and his wife Debra of Weatherford, Texas; brother Perry and his wife Lori of Joseph, Oregon; brother Michael of Galveston, Texas; step-sister Angelea Stanley and her husband, Glenn of Weatherford, Texas; step-sister Melinde Manire and husband Tracy of Bedford, Texas; many cousins and second cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and many, many friends who dearly loved him.
He was preceded in death by his parents Charlie and Norma Jo, and his stepmother Melba (Savage) Greenway.
