FITZGERALD DAVID M. FITZGERALD Captain, U.S. Navy (Ret.) Captain David M. Fitzgerald, Jr., U.S. Navy, (Retired), passed away quietly at his family home in Williamsburg, Virginia early Spring, 2022. Captain Fitzgerald was a passionate patriot whose dedication to the American philosophy of freedom and prosperity was at the center of his life's work. Fitzgerald gave 35 years of service to the U.S. Navy and the U.S. Federal Government. His wife, Melinda Ann, their daughter, India Meade, formerly of Richmond, and, his chair side Lab, Buster continue to reside in their Williamsburg home. The Celebration of Life will be held at Christ Church Alexandria on Thursday, July 28th at 3:30 p.m. His funeral service will be held at Arlington National Cemetery with full Military Honors Friday, July 29 at 1 p.m. Further details are available through Bucktrout Funeral Home, Williamsburg, VA.
