David Harold Fidler, March 1956 - June 6, 2022
It is with great sorrow we announce the passing of David Harold Fidler. David passed away peacefully on June 6th at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital.
David was born on March 18, 1956 to the late Harold Franklin Fidler and June Helen Garl. He was an active young man, participating in baseball, basketball, band and soccer which included winning the District 3 championship at Twin Valley in 1973. Dave was a graduate of Twin Valley High School in 1974. He carried his love for sports with him through his life and made every effort to share this with his boys - including teaching them one-on-one, to coaching. He attended every game and tournament that he could as a proud father, from their younger days to
present.
David was a veteran of the US Army. He was stationed in Colorado, Germany and Kentucky throughout his career. He was also a volunteer firefighter for the West Reading Fire Department along with his wife. Most recently, David was the proud business owner of Fidler Printing.
David was happily married to his sweetheart, Charlotte for 46 years. He wore the titles of Husband, Father and Pop-Pop with pride and honor every day. He was a caring and loving family man, who loved to tell stories and share his unending knowledge of the world around him. A jack-of-all-trades, David was hands-on and project oriented. He loved building and fixing things himself, which provided opportunities to share his knowledge and create quality time with his boys. David was always up for little adventures, even on his hard days, and did his very best to live every day to the fullest.
He enjoyed trips to the races and day trips to the casinos with his sons, of which always included his favorite, Craps. He also loved classic tv shows, which you would frequently find him watching, cuddled up with his puppy, Candy.
David is survived by his wife Charlotte (Fritz), his children Derrick, Brad and his wife Michelle, Trevor and his wife Ashley, his grandson Braedon, and many more friends and family whom he loved and cherished.
