Passed away peacefully at home on February 4th, 2022 at the age of 90. Born in Spooner, Wisconsin on October 28, 1931. His family moved to Zion, Illinois where Darvin graduated from Zion Benton High School in 1950. Darvin was a proud veteran who served in the United States Air Force, stationed in Guam during the Korean War from 1950-1953. He returned to Zion and worked for Outboard Motor Corporation for 32 years, retiring in 1985. He married the love of his life, Lois Hibbard on August 3, 1957. They lived in Kenosha, Wisconsin until they retired to Port Charlotte, Florida in 1986. They became "snow birds", spending summers in Adams/Friendship, Wisconsin on Castle Rock Lake. Darvin and Lois had two daughters; Cindy Kocher of Hartland, Wisconsin and Jill (Curtis) Scheel of Neosho, Wisconsin. Darvin was a proud "Papa" to David Felber; Brittany (Bryce) Schmidt; Zachary Kocher and Nicholas Kocher. Darvin spent his retirement selling seafood and was known as "Shrimpy" to many. He was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Lois, in 2012. Darvin lived his life to the fullest. He will be missed by countless friends and family. A memorial will be held at a later date in Wisconsin. And as Papa would say, "See ya while ago".
